Clear answers about what the Exchange is, who it is for, how membership works, and what the inside experience includes.

About the Exchange

What is the Business Owners Exchange?
The Business Owners Exchange is a private, membership-based network for experienced, growth-focused service business owners. Most members are 50+, still actively building, and typically generate under $1 million in annual revenue. The Exchange is designed to make trusted peer connections, introductions, and referrals easier to find and act on.
How is this different from LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is a broadcasting platform. The Exchange is a connection platform. LinkedIn rewards visibility, content output, and audience building. The Exchange is built around a curated directory of serious owners where the goal is introductions, referrals, and real relationships.
How is this different from a mastermind or coaching program?
There is no curriculum, no coach, and no formal program to follow. The Exchange is a peer network: a private room of experienced owners you can reach out to directly when there is a fit. What you do with those relationships is up to you.
How is this different from BNI or local networking groups?
Local groups tend to be geographically limited, attendance-dependent, and category-restricted. The Exchange is national and built around ongoing access to other members instead of meeting-based participation.

Membership

Who is this for?
The Exchange is for experienced, service-based business owners who are still actively growing and want trusted peers around them. Many members work in consulting, coaching, accounting, financial services, marketing, legal, recruiting, and similar fields. Most are 50+ and generate under $1 million in annual revenue.
Who is this not for?
It is not the right fit for early-stage founders still figuring out their business model, owners who are winding down, or anyone looking for a passive listing or lead-generation service. The Exchange rewards participation and peer-to-peer initiative.
Do I need to be over 50 to join?
No. Most members are 50+, but age is not the hard requirement. What matters more is real operating experience, a service-based business, and genuine interest in connecting with peers.
How many members are in the Exchange?
The Exchange is in its founding phase. The first 50 founding members can join at the reduced founding rate while those spots remain available.

The Experience

What does membership actually include?
Membership includes a professional listing on the member board, full access to the private directory, direct connection with other members, events, and shared resources.
What does my profile look like?
Your profile is a member dossier. It gives other members enough information to understand what you do, who you serve, and when it makes sense to reach out or make an introduction.
How do I connect with other members?
Once you are inside, you have direct access to other members. There are no algorithmic gatekeepers between you and the people you want to meet.
What happens at events?
Events are practical and member-focused. They are built for peer conversation, not lecture-style presentations. Some sessions may include outside experts when there is clear value for members.
How active is the community right now?
The Exchange is still in its early phase. That means new members are helping shape the room while also getting earlier visibility and access to other founding-era members.

Pricing and Commitment

What does membership cost?
Standard membership is $297.25 per quarter. Founding Member pricing is secondary and available to the first 50 businesses at $97 per quarter while those spots remain open.
Is there a long-term commitment?
No. Membership renews quarterly and can be cancelled at the end of any paid quarter. There are no annual contracts.
What happens if I cancel my founding rate and come back later?
Founding pricing is tied to the founding period and to active membership. If you cancel after joining at the founding rate and later return, the standard rate applies unless founding spots are still open and explicitly offered again.
