About

This started with 400 conversations.

I spent three years talking with successful owners about how they built what they built. What I kept seeing was simple: the most experienced people in business were not in the right rooms together.

2013 to 2016

400 conversations changed my thinking.

In 2013, I launched a podcast called The Boomer Business Owner. Over the next three years, I sat down with more than 400 successful business owners — consultants, coaches, advisors, service providers, independent operators — and asked them how they built what they built.

More than 200 hours of conversation gave me a very clear takeaway: the most experienced owners were largely invisible to each other. The people with real operating history, real client relationships, and decades of perspective were not in the right rooms together.

The Gap

The existing options were pointed at the wrong people.

The platforms built for founders were mostly aimed at people raising capital or building in public. Local networking groups were inconsistent at best and usually too limited. Most mastermind programs were built around a guru, not around the members.

These were exactly the people who should have been connected to each other. There was no place purpose-built for them.

What Confirmed It

Years as the right-hand operator made the gap even clearer.

After the podcast, I spent years doing what I do best: being the right-hand guy for founder-led businesses. Strategic operator. Execution partner. The person responsible for taking ownership and moving things forward while the owner stayed in their zone of genius.

That work confirmed everything the podcast had already shown me. Experienced owners do not need more content. They do not need another webinar. They do not need another cold outreach message. What actually moves the needle is trusted peer access — the right introduction at the right moment, from someone whose judgment you respect.

So I Built It

Eventually, I stopped waiting for someone else to build the room.

The Business Owners Exchange is the network I kept wishing existed — a private, curated membership for experienced, growth-focused service business owners who are still building, still creating opportunity, and serious about connecting with trusted peers.

I have spent my career building relationships across industries, geographies, and business models. I know what a good room looks like. I know what it can produce when the right people are in it. And I know how rare that kind of room is.
